Short animation ‘Bystander’ by Sheyda Kashi has made way to the playlist of the 14th Athens ANIMFEST in Greece.
“An old man is living with a window in front of his eyes. He sees a cold, black and white and fragile world from behind the window. But the window was not always there while he was a young active participant of a big revolution...,” synopsis as presented by the official website reads.
The 8-minute animation previously won several awards from world festivals, including Grand Prix Award from Open Air Short Film Festival in Belarus, Best Short Animation award at the 3rd Cinemaway Film Festival in Ukraine, 8th ‘Picture This’ film festival in Canada, Int'l Festival of Cinema and Television Taganay muses in Russia, and Best Animation award at the 2018 Int'l Youth Film Festival "Light of the World" in Russia.
The jury top award of the 2nd Global Youth Film Festival in Bangladesh was a recent accolade clinched by ‘Bystander’.
The 14th Athens ANIMFEST - International Animation Festival hosts a program full of shorts and feature animation.
The event is slated for March 14-17, 2019 in Athens, Greece.
